The Progene Bio HBsAg Rapid Test is a lateral-flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg) in human whole blood, serum, or plasma. It is intended as an aid in the diagnosis of Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection.
The test combines monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies to selectively capture elevated levels of HBsAg, making it suitable for mass screening programs, antenatal (prenatal) screening, and routine diagnostics. A positive HBsAg result indicates current HBV infection — acute or chronic.
